Lenovo yesterday launched four new tablets extending its Yoga series. The tablets will be priced between Rs.20,900 and Rs.47,900.
Three of the launched tablets will sport Android KitKat while one is a Windows 8.1 variant.The both Android Yoga Tablet 2 will be available in 8-inch and 10-inch screen sizes, while the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro will sport a huge screen of 13.3-inch. The 8-inch variant will be at the bottom of the said price range at Rs.20,900, while the other two will be available for Rs.28,990 and Rs.47,990 respectively.The 10-inch Yoga 2 tablet sporting Windows will be priced at Rs.34,000.
The series of tablets will be available on e-retailer Flipkart. While the 8-inch Android Yoga 2 tablet will be available Friday onwards, the remaining of the lot will be out for sale by the second week of November.
The 8-inch and 10-inch variants of Yoga Tablet 2 sport a resolution of 1920X1200 pixels. All the three variants of Yoga Tablet 2 feature a Accutype keyboard dock backed by Bluetooth and can be further utilized as a cover.
The Yoga Tablet 2 trio is powered by Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.33 GHz clubbed with 2 GB RAM. The devices feature an 8MP rear camera and also house a 1.6MP front camera. On the storage front the memory can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
The Yoga Tablet 2 mirror each other in most of the specification except the battery size; the 8-inch variants come packed with 2-cell 6400mAh, while the 10-inch variants is packed with 3-cell 9600mAh batteries.
The USP of Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is its inbuilt Pico projector that can project an image of up to 50-inches in size and an 8-watt sound system along with a subwoofer. Other than this the device features a 13-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) display, and comes fueled with an 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z3745 processor.
The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro offers optional 4G connectivity and comes packed with a 3-cell 9600mAh Li-Cylindrical battery which is rated to deliver 15 hours of battery usage.
The new tablets were unveiled last week along with Yoga 3 Pro laptop and Yoga 2 tablet 2 (8-inch, Windows). So far the company has not given any information of the India launch of Yoga 3 Pro laptop and 8-inch Windows Yoga Tablet 2.
